School Updates 2020-21

CLASS DROP OFF/COLLECTION POINT (Updated 25.9.20)

Please adhere to the times below, arrive in good time and avoid getting too close to each other on School Hill before your allocated slot. If you are waiting, please leave a distance of at least one metre between each adult. As everyone’s safety is paramount, we are trying our best to keep large numbers gathering outside school to a minimum so, please leave as soon as you have your children.

Thank you, as always, for your support in ensuring the full re-opening of school continues to run smoothly.

From Monday 28th September we will revert back to the three separate end of day times (see below). However, this time younger siblings will stay in school until the collection time of their oldest sibling, for example:

·         if you have children in Year 1, Year 3 and Year 6 all children will leave school at 3.30pm

·         if you have children in EYFS and Year 2 they will leave at 3.10pm

·         if you have children in Year 1 and Year 3 they will leave at 3.20pm

We will continue to bring the children out to stand at designated class areas on the School Hill as this has helped to ensure a safer handover of the children and has given adults more space to keep apart while waiting.

As usual, Breakfast Club will run from 7.50am to 8.30am and After School Club will run from 3.10pm to 6.00pm. Drop off and collection, for both clubs, will be via the side Hall door as normal. Places must be pre-booked in advance and we will be unable to accept bookings on the day.

Sadly, no parents will be allowed on site, unless an appointment has been previously made, as we need to adhere to the procedures in our risk assessment of keeping the mix of adults and children down to a minimum.

NOTIFICATIONS TO PARENTS/CARERS REGARDING SUSPECTED/CONFIRMED CASES OF COVID-19

From Monday 21st September, following guidelines from the Local Authority, we will be sending email/text notifications out in the following instances:

·         If a child has Covid-19 symptoms (an email/text message will be sent to parents of children in that child’s ‘bubble’)

·         If a child tests positive for Covid-19 (an email will be sent to parents of children in that child’s ‘bubble’ + a separate email will be sent out to parents of all children in school)

Please note that these notifications are not meant to panic, they are simply to keep parents informed.

PLEASE NOTE

It is important to note that any arrangements outlined on this page and in the documents below, are subject to change and we will inform you of any modifications where appropriate.
