SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO HAYTON - Friday 6th December 10am 

Every child at Hayton from Reception to Year 6, will be able to visit Santa in our festively decorated 'Dingly Dell' to receive a gift and have their photograph taken with the jolly old elf himself, by Keltic Rose Photography. Photos will be on sale at the Christmas Fair.

PTA CHRISTMAS FAIR - Friday 6th December 2pm-3.30pm

Entry: £2 per adult (includes a drink and a mince pie in the Church)

Parents/relatives attending should collect their children from their classrooms at 2pm.  Children cannot leave before 3pm and all children should be signed out by an adult on the list at the front of school.  

A festive fun celebration for all the family with stalls, activities and Christmas goodies galore:

  • Mince pies, teas and coffees will be served in the Church - thank you to Hayton WI for their support.
  • Games, stalls, face-painting, tombola, craft and cakes!
  • Guess Kevin's birthday to win a giant, adorable, KEVIN THE CARROT!
  • Guess the weight of the cake decorated by Mama Cakes. 
  • Handmade craft prepared by Hayton School pupils for sale in the Year 6 classroom - don't forget to purchase your own child's Christmas craft creation - each year group creates their own gift for parents to treasure, made with love! 
  • Musical entertainment with festive songs sung by the school choir.
  • Grand Prize Draw - sponsored by Lamont Pridmore - with prizes including: £100 cash, voucher for The Stone Inn, £50 voucher from Hills Garage plus a gin hamper, a voucher from The String of Horses, a Walby Farm day pass, a voucher for Mr Browns, K&G Fuels coal donation, a £50 voucher from The Cumberland Building Society, a Christmas hamper, a chocolate hamper, a voucher from Adam Jones Fitness at Border City CrossFit, Sally's Tea Rooms (Warwick Bridge) a voucher for afternoon tea for two, Hayton Farm Shop are donating a hamper, a prize from 301 Miles from London (Carlisle Station), a gift from Thompson Accident & Repair Centre plus many more to be announced.   • Tickets have been sent home in book bags soon so please look out for them. 


We have been chosen to benefit from the next round of the Coop Local Community Fund. The funding round will be open from 27th October 2019 to 24th October 2020 and during this phase Co-op Members will be able to choose Friends of Hayton School as their local cause. Everytime a member buys selected own-brand products and services, 1% of the money they spend goes to their chosen local causes in the community. Following our Annual General Meeting, we are delighted to announce we have appointed a new Chair, Helen Smalley, our new treasurer will be Joanne Batey and Nicky Watson will continue as secretary.
