Welcome to 'Oaks' class.

In the mornings, we learn together as a Year 6 group. In the afternoons, we welcome some of the Year 5 children into our class and we become 'Oakwood HT'.

We absolutely LOVE learning.  See below for what we are learning this term and for our 'Reach for the Stars' Challenge grids.

As we are the oldest in the school (graduating as 'Mighty Oaks' at the end of the school year, we are role models to the younger children. One of our favourite roles within school is being 'BUDDIES'. We 'buddy-up' with the youngest children in school - our 'Little Acorns' . We read with them, help them with their lunch, support them and play with them at play times, help them with coats, shoes etc.... Everyone in school aspires to be a buddy and we love making the little ones feel like part of our 'TEAMHAYTON' family.

Our class teacher is Mrs. Thompson. She teaches us for the majority of the week. She has three children of her own – two of which are still here at Hayton! Mrs. Thompson loves reading – it's her secret vice – and she LOVES teaching us – so her lessons are always fun, engaging and informative.
