Cumbria In Bloom Featuring Hayton School Gardens

Wednesday, 15th July 2020

Cumbria in Bloom (part of RHS Britain in Bloom) is a campaign that encourages people to work together in their own area, show pride and keep it clean and welcoming. Under normal circumstances, the judges from Cumbria in Bloom would visit our school to look at our wonderful Secret Garden, the playground and around the school. Their main aim is to engage with groups in Cumbria, encouraging participation in a range of competitions that promote the improvement of horticulture, floriculture and environmental issues in our region.

As it is not possible to visit our school at the moment, they kindly asked if we could give an update and photographs of what has been happening in our school gardens so they could add it to their website. We are very proud of all the hard work our children and staff put in to maintaining our beautiful gardens so were very happy to do this.
